2014 Saignée Rosé

The Wine
Pronounced “Sawn-Yay” Rosé. Saignée is the winemaking method used to make this rosé. Pear, watermelon and strawberry aroma and flavors. Dry and full bodied.

The Vineyard
45% Mourvèdre – Meek Vineyard – Yakima Valley
33% Grenache Noir – Meek Vineyard – Yakima Valley
12% Counoise – Meek Vineyard – Yakima Valley
10% Cinsault – Boushey Vineyard – Yakima Valley

The Winemaking
After crushing the grapes we allowed 36 hours of soaking time to extract the pink color and then pulled off 275 gallons of juice resulting in a bold fruit forward rosé.
