Founders Charlie & Lacey Lybecker pull their inspiration from the Rhône Valley of southern France, and make wine in that style using Washington fruit. Cairdeas Winery was started in West Seattle in 2009 and moved to the beautiful Lake Chelan Wine Valley in 2012. We built and opened our copper-roofed Cairdeas Barn in Lake Chelan in 2021 and launched our Seattle Tasting Room at SODO Urbanworks in 2023.
Cairdeas (car-diss), a nod to our heritage, is Irish Gaelic for friendship, goodwill or alliance.
To give back to our community, we are donating $4 from every bottle and $1 from every glass of wine or tasting flight sold during the month of August to support Chelan Valley Hope and Project Beauty Share’s wildfire relief efforts. Participate online or in one of our tasting rooms – Lake Chelan or SODO.
