I believe that in Washington State we have the best conditions for growing ultra premium wine grapes in the United States. We choose our vineyards based on location, climate, soil types as well as many other factors to ensure that we can create the wines we strive to. We have designated rows in our vineyards and work with the vineyard managers to make sure our wine grapes are grown to meet the standards for our wine program.
Every growing region has its own unique characteristics, all of which contribute to the flavors that we get in our wines. This is why we source fruit from all over the state. It allows us to have many different flavor profiles to work with and lets us really tailor the wines to become what we envision for them.
We work hard at picking the right varietals from the right regions so that we can create wines of great quality that we are proud to put the Cairdeas name on.

Lake Chelan AVA was founded in 2009 and is a much cooler growing region than most of the state. For that reason some varietals struggle to ripen here but we find that the Syrah and Viognier from this area are spectacular.
